Vote “YES” on Prop 68, The Clean Water and Safe Parks Act!
(By Save the Redwoods League)
On June 5, 2018, California voters will have the opportunity to pass Prop 68, authorizing $4.1 billion in bond funding for parks, natural resource protection, climate adaptation, water quality and supply, and flood protection.
“Proposition 68 would help us protect more coast redwoods and giant sequoia groves, restore our redwoods forests so they are climate and fire resilient, and connect California’s growing, diverse communities to our redwood parks,” says Shelana deSilva, the Save the Redwood League’s director of government affairs and public funding. “This bond is the first-ever bond measure in California to prioritize social equity, stating that access to parks and open space, along with clean, reliable drinking water resources, are a right for all Californians. We at the League agree.”
