DESCRIPTION:Conditions permitting\, join the guided walk around the beautiful North Grove Trail. \nEvery Saturday at 11:30 am.  Meet at the Visitor Center Plaza. \nWalks will become snowshoe walks when snow conditions dictates. \nAn easy walk around the North Grove trail led by knowledgeable Docents and staff.  All ages are welcome. \nThe North Grove Trail is just under 2 miles long\, and easily walked by most people. Allow at least 90 minutes (or up to 2 hours) for the tour. Remember to get water and use the restroom before meeting your guide. \nPlease bring water for everyone in your party. \nParkway Road to the river and South Grove closes with first snowfall or December 1st\, whichever comes first \nCall 209-795-7980 for more information.

DESCRIPTION:Kick off the new year with us with the Annual First Day Hike!  Calaveras Big Trees will participate in this national-led effort that encourages individuals and families to experience the beautiful natural and cultural resources found in the outdoors with a seasoned guide so that they may be inspired to take advantage of these treasures throughout the year. \nNature has been proven to boost our moods and make us feel healthy. And what a better way to start 2023 than taking in spectacular views and breathing some fresh air. Walk among the giant sequoias. \nLed this year by docent extraordinaire\, Nancy Muleady Mecham the walk will begin on Sunday January 1 at 11:30 am.  Please gather around the Visitor Center and/or Warming Hut. \nPlease call 20-795-7980 with questions. \nWe hope to see you then!
