DESCRIPTION:New this year.  A wonderful way to see the South Grove and to learn about  the Giant Sequoias at the same time. \nMeet at the South Grove parking lot at 9:45 am. \nThe hike takes 2.5-3 hours.  They do not do the full loop\, just the left loop which is shorter and goes directly to the Agassiz Tree. \nThe trail is relatively flat going that way and the Guided tour stops at the Agassiz Tree. \nThe trail is moderate to hard depending on the weather and hikers’ physical condition. \nMosquito repellent is recommended along with good hiking shoes\, a hat\, plenty of water and an optional snack. \nNot recommended for young kids. \nPlease call with any questions.  209-795-7980

DESCRIPTION:Labor Day Weekend Schedule: \nJr Rangers and Cubs will be held Saturday and Sunday at 10 am behind the old Visitor Center. \nCreek Critters will be held for the last time this season on Saturday September 2 at 1 pm at Beaver Creek. \nThere will be a daily guided walk of the North Grove at 11:30 on Friday\, Saturday\, Sunday and Monday.  There will be a 1 pm walk on Saturday. \nPlease call the Park 209.795.7980 or the Visitor Center 209.795.3840 for more information. \nEnjoy the last weekend of Summer Sweetness (ice cream and popcorn) at the Warming Hut Saturday\, Sunday and Monday. \nCome enjoy the end of Summer Park! \nAstronomy Nights will be held September 21 at 7:30; October 19 and October 26 at 7 pm.  Meet at the Overlook. \nCall 209-795-3840 or 209-795-7980 for more information \n
