DESCRIPTION:Focus:  Use your phone camera \nMeet at: North Grove Visitor Center \nAbout this program\nThe weekly Photography Program began with the 2016 season as an idea for docents & locals to  experience the park\, although anyone is welcome to attend (but not recommended for children    under 12). \nThis program explores different locations within the park\, and focuses on different themes each week. The location where to meet at 9am is given for each Wednesday on this schedule. \nThose who attend consecutive weeks have an   opportunity to share a few images from the prior week. However\, it is not necessary to attend every week to enjoy this program. Two telescopes and astronomical binoculars will give you a closer look at the moon\, planets and deep sky objects. \nWe’re excited to launch the newly purchased webcam for one of the telescopes\, so images can be shown on a 40” monitor in real time. No more standing in line to look through the big telescope! \nMeet us at the Scenic Overlook in the park\, just a few miles past the Visitor Center. This is one of the best night sky viewing areas in the region. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on. \nThe Astronomy program at the park is run entirely by docent volunteers with significant investment by the Calaveras Big Trees Association. \nPlease join us! \nPlease call 209-795-7980 with any questions.
