Calaveras Big Trees Association, in partnership with California Department of Parks and Recreation, offers the Commemorative Bench Program.
In addition to providing a unique honor, the donation of a commemorative bench contributes to the beauty and character of our park, enhances the visitor experience, and provides financial support for our interpretive projects.
In keeping with Calaveras Big Trees policy there will be one style option available for commemorative benches. The bench is 6 feet in length and made of coastal redwood.
Donor recognition will be in the form of an engraved plaque. All plaques designed through the program will feature consistency in look, type and mounting. Plaques will be placed on the back of each bench to assure that the bench is an inviting place for park guests to sit and enjoy. The plaques will be ordered by and delivered to CBTA for placement. Finished plaques will be approximately 9.5” x 5” and made of Bronze with a dark pebble oxide foreground with bronze lettering. Wording on the plaque will be in accordance with donor recognition guidelines as provided by the Department of Parks and Recreation.
The donation amount for a Commemorative Bench is $3,000.
The donation includes:
· Installation of a 6’ coastal redwood bench
· Engraved 9.5” x 5” plaque placed on the bench
· A certificate of recognition
· Optional notification of your donation to the honoree’s family
· Pictures and story added to our “Bench Stories” page on CBTA website.
